Hey Carls,

Thanks for writing me yesterday. Reading your letter gladly distracted me from this one screaming kid we had to babysit yesterday. Unfortunately while I was reading it, the kid came over to me with some sort of sticky substance on his hands and touched the paper right where you ended with “Love, Carly.” I flipped and, needless to say, he started sobbing. Aren’t I great with kids?

The kid was fine, though. Cat babied him and whatever and gave him a rattle toy that I’m 90% sure is for hamsters…oh well. I think Cat and I make a pretty good team with these kids, most of the time.

But…honestly, no one will ever be a better team than you and I. I really miss you a lot. Cat’s cool, but…you’re still my best friend. And I really really hope you’ll still think of me that way even when we’re all old and shriveled and stuff.

Oh jeez. I have to cut this letter short. Some kid just poured ketchup into her hair because she wanted hair like Cat’s and…our kitchen doesn’t look all that great right now. AND THE KID IS TOUCHING MY FAT CAKE STASH. NOT OKAY, CHILD.
